Whiskerino 2009

could teach Damnweather a thing or two!

Went looking for a thrift store camera with film in it today, but couldn't find one. Did, however, find a 12-exposure roll of 2001-expired Kodak color 400, so we shot that and an old roll of Walmart Fuji color 200 in the Olympus OM-1 I bought from @Greybeard a few years ago.

Then we spent the afternoon looking around for someone to develop it. After trying Rite Aid, Target, and CVS, we finally found someone at Walgreens who could process film same-day.

All in all, a good day.

Pip says:
@johnnyrebellious It's on a lot in South Huntsville for $2800. Not quite a fancy as an Airstream, but for the price it would probably make a pretty sweet home-away-from-home.

This is pretty hi-fi for a lo-fi pic. You are terrible at taking bad pictures.

Also, fav'd.

with the cost and all the chemicals, there is a lot to be said for digital photography. but it's still pretty fun to drop of a roll. i forgot that excitement of picking up prints and leafing though them in the car.

Pip says:
@Childress You're totally right about it being too hi-fi. I guess I was thinking more low(er)-tech with film. Still kinda wish I'd bought the $10 digital camera I saw at Rite Aid!!

Oh well.
