I had no idea what I was getting into when I joined this adventure on Nov. 1, 2009. I read the rules and saw that participants must post at least once per seven-day span, so after my initial photo I didn't even look at the site until about Day 3. It was at that point that I began understanding what Whiskerino was all about.

I've typically worn a beard for the past few years, but I've never let it grow untrimmed for more than about a month. Over the past 120 days, it has been fascinating to see a bonafide beard assemble on my face. The amazing thing about Whiskerino is that it has been just as fascinating to see beards grow on all of your faces as well.

Thanks for the inspiration, encouragement, brilliance, camaraderie, photographic techniques, and humor. In my experience, Internet communities tend to become dominated—or at least tarnished—by jerks; Whiskerino is the exception. This "place" has such a great spirit about it. I must add that I particularly enjoyed the fellowship of Team Beer Brewers—you guys have made the journey especially fun and educational.
