Chief among the reasons my town wins: Nighttime Christmas parades, complete with pillars of fire.

Alt shot where a guy's head looks to be on fire.

This reminds me Mad Max/Road Warrior for some reason. And that's a good thing.

Perfect photo, I didn't hear you say though you have a Holiday Parade that runs 4 days a week for 4 weeks right through the city pass Mary Tyler Moore, now that's a town (?)

Looks like you guys are staying warm.

@leduncan My kids are fearless. No fire pillar could scare them.

@pip 2, in fact. The first was among the worst I've ever paid for. So I went back this morning and they made amends. Now I'm happy which is good, since tomorrow is Christmas card photo day for the Clarks.

I mean we have holiday parades and stuff, but there is a distinct lack of fire pillars.

Your town is like the wandering in the desert...except it seems to be working out much better for you guys. Must be the lack of grumbling.

Thanks @mackle!

@thedespot It happens from time to time. We even manage to get below freezing once or twice a winter. In college in Virginia I didn't own a jacket and it was cold for months, but Floridians have no tolerance and routinely break out jackets for the slightest occasion.
You can tell at Disney who is the local in the early winter - all the locals are wearing jackets and perhaps even hats or mittens in 65° weather and out of towners are walking around in sorts and tshirts at the same time.
