In the early evenings, mostly on Sundays, he would wander into his neighbor's backyards, usually at random, but sometimes on purpose, wearing a cat as a head covering. The cat didn't mind, because he or she was promised fishy snacks in return for keeping his ears warm.
His neighbors minded, though, because he usually stood there for hours, singing songs about Britain's triumph or freeing the bees from the net.
Some of the nicer neighbors would bring him hot cocoa for his troubles.
