That long face is because my iPhone got wet last night. The phone functions all work except for the screen; which has lost touch function in the top half and has some funny marks.

CLAME for a (slightly blurred due to tears streaming down my face) close-up shot of the water damage.

It's not the end of the world or anything, but definitely ruined my evening. It may come through yet, though. If not, my wife gets a new phone and I'll take her old one.

a friend of mine washed his iphone. he put it in a tupperware container full of uncooked rice, and it emerged fully functional after two days. maybe all hope isn't lost?

I had the same problem except it was with the bottom half of the screen. I had it a bit worse because my backlight went out and the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I replaced the LCD backlight and battery and cleaned the whole thing up while I was inside of it and the touch problem still existed. I ended up just bearing with it until one day it just magically worked! Give it time. You might get lucky.

ehhh. Man my sympathy goes out to you and yours. It will happen to mine at some point. Had it for over a year now, electronics just don't have a very long life span.
