An aside... one of my students was beaming today when he told me he is going to Iowa tomorrow so his moms can get married for Christmas this year. I could cry right now I'm so happy for him. He and his brother have a great family and I only wish they could be married at home with their other family members. Baby steps, I guess. Ok, I just thought your heart might love this story as much as mine does!

I love the fact, that growing up my step-grandad nicknamed me, Hollywood. I went to CA in 1991 to become a US Marine (a "hollywood marine" is a marine that goes through boot at SanDiego MCRD). In 2008, Michael and I registered and married in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica respectively.

The two titles I have wanted most in my life, Marine and Husband, I had to go to CA .....it was worth every memory!!!!!!!
