As of today, @julialikesbeards and i are now homebrewers! yeah!

We are extremely new at this so we might be hitting some of you out there for advice/tips.

we had a few "what the?" moments during the process today due to conflicting books/recipes but we are hopeful that at the end of it all we will have beer.

we are joining the team!

That's awesome. Been years since my last batch. Really miss the aroma. Whole house will smell like a bakery. Might be time for me to wash some old carboys.

If no one has warned you already: be super careful with the glass carboys. CLAME for a picture from an old friend who had one shatter. Ouch.

i just bottled today, myself. just remember, in the long run, homebrewing is supposed to be fun. as charlie papizan says "relax, don't worry about it. have a homebrew".

Let me know if you have any questions. I was a avid homebrewer that became a professional craft brewer for 7.5 years (now I distill by trade). I love talking about brewing and fermentation.

Nice equipment for a first timer. I'm still working with a plastic bucket. I'm sure whatever comes out of that thing will be delicious and, probably, beer.

Hey Howard Hughes, you're supposed to save your urine in mason jars, not water coolers.

shularbrau says:
Hey TEAM HOMEBREW!

Are you coming to the throwdown? If so, PLEASE bring as much homebrew as you can spare! Mackle has announced that on Friday night we are going to have an official homebrew tasting for everybody. If you keg, please bring an entire keg (or three)! If you bottle, bring as many as you can spare. We're going to try to round up enough homebrew to serve ONLY HOMEBREW for the Friday night event. My email is dshular at h0t mail d0t c0m. Shoot me an email and I'll start an email list of all us homebrewers so we can see how much beer we can descend upon Nashville.
