Of course. The last days of every Whiskerino have been amazing moments of my life and filled with stress. Today was no different.

The last day of Whiskerino in 2005/06, my wife went into the hospital suffering from listeria. She was 8 months pregnant with our daughter, Maya. I was driving home from Nashville when I got the news and scurried as fast as I could to be by my wife's side. My daughter was taken by emergency cesarean and was born miraculously with no infection and actually could come home before my wife who definitely got the raw end of the deal. My wife, Christie is the rock of Team Renaud. She puts up with my beard, these throwdowns, my comment bombing at 1am and me explaining inside Whiskerino jokes often pretending interest.

This morning, Maya was watching Olympic ice skating and got inspired and was pretending to be an ice skater. She was cute, spinning and jumping and then she tripped over a Yo Gabba Gabba doll and smashed her forehead into the corner of a wall which ripped a sizable gash into her forehead. After wiping all the blood and tears that filled her face and pinching together her split forehead with bandaids, I rushed her to the ER. She was brave and got 6 stitches in her head. She took her nap and then we took her to her 4th Birthday party. She was already the center of attention and under the circumstances she got even more attention.

So I thought it was fitting that I post my last photo on Whiskerino with my beautiful daughter, Maya who has changed my life. She really is such a great daughter.

Also, I want to thank @mackle for creating such an unusual online fraternity filled with degenerates, prophets, friends, jerks, artists, fathers, lovers, musicians, painters, nite owls and brothers.

I can't wait to be together again in the San Diego Zoo in 2011.

Maya's drawing of the incident. Notice the gash and tears

I'm just glad to hear she's okay. Also, it's a bonus that her birthday and Whiskerino are forever linked.

Your whole Detroit crew was really nice, you - certainly no exception.

until May... take care.

Great meeting you if even briefly at the throwdown! In that brief meeting I knew why you had your own team and why you are so loved here.

Need to make it up for a visit. Or maybe we can meet at the old stomping ground for some Tonellis cheesesteaks and parking lot football where the LansBowl used to be.

PS - we all owe @mackle, but I owe you for convincing me to get into it all. If only I had played along in 2005 as well. Oh well, no regrets.

Take care, dad.

My kids are wearing team #renaud pins in my final shot, because thought I never joined per se, I've always been a part of the team. I'm glad she walked away with only a few stitches, and I'm glad you have her. She seems amazing.

Be well, come to Orlando and hang. Disney would cure her blues, right?

your daughter looks like a bad ass in this shot. This makes sense because she has a father that is 110% a total badass. You never fail to entertain and bring greatness to this community. I am honored to have you on the site and beyond gracious to have met you - and actually get along! I love that I get to call you friend.

Hopefully you will continue to hit me up on IM with weird links and music we undoubtedly both love. I will do my best to do the same to you.

Viva La Jim Renaud - truly a fantastic piece of the Whiskerino legacy.

You are another alumni that has just become part of the core of this site. Your influence here is so deep and undeniable. It was a pleasure to chat with you for those few moments at the bash. You have a swagger about you that was immediately noticible and genuine. I think that's what everyone on TEam Renaud already knew. It took me about 8 seconds to see it. Thanks for being so awesome.

your daughter is awesome for toughing it out, going to the party, taking a final Whiskerino pic, and also drawing a picture of the accident complete with gash and tears.

Every olympian started out with a spin on a Yo Gabba Gabba doll, I'm convinced of it. My daughter got 18 stitches on her forehead at a similar age, and there is only 2% of a scar visible. It will all be fine.

I don't know when the next chance I will get to bomb around in @kidstatic's car at 4:00am Renaud, but that was a blast. So glad I got to meet the man, the myth, the maniac, the Renaud. The grandaddy of Awesomehogging. Sad to hear you will not be moustaching, but I hope I will cross paths with you some other way soon.

I hope Maya is a tough as she looks in this picture, and that she is back practicing spins in no time. Take care.

First of all, I'm glad your little girl pulled through and got to enjoy her birthday party. Some things are a lot more important than a buncha beards and such cryin' in their beers because their virtual party's over. Hang in there, Maya. Scars are cool. If anyone ever messes with you, just tell them you'll cut a bitch.

Second, you are funny and nice and all that. It's been a pleasure knowing you on this thing. You are an integral part of this group and you should feel good knowing that you are needed, welcomed, and loved here. Take care, man.
