Everyone meet John. John is like a wise old grandpa (in owl years). he and I have been working together nearly every single day for over 10 years. He is my most trusted big eyed nocturnal colleague. I spent 3 years just earning his trust (I have since learned owls are picky about there friends) It was worth every second. He has taught me much, so, I thought it only fitting that he be a part of my "A Day at Work" Photo.
DISCLAIMER (Sorry I have too): It is illigal to own any bird of prey or any part of any bird of prey. John was hit by a car 13 years ago. He is perminantly disabled and can not survive in the wild. We hold state and federal permits that alow us to care for him and use him for educational programs.
