Two years ago today I caved and shaved.
Only a few weeks into Whiskerino 2007 my wife was diagnosed with cancer. I did my best to stay involved, post pictures and comment but it was honestly pretty difficult. At first, Margaret who can't stand my beard, encouraged me keep at it because she knew how much this silly thing means to me. However, after her first round of chemo, she needed a something to look forward to, so she asked me to shave the beard.
Today, I'm happy to report Margaret is on her way to a full recovery. We are back in Atlanta doing normal things and it's wonderful.
Thank you Whiskerino's for all of your support in 2007 and for generally being awesome.
