It always surprises me how much crap is actually in my bag. It doesn't feel this full when I carry it. Most of this stuff IS pretty light.

You win. that has to be the most stuff carried on one person. Nice layout.

And those mini leatherman tools look silly, but I used mine all of the time until I finally lost it at work. Sucked.

@ThatGuy I love my little Leatherman more than anything else I carry. I've got a couple backups in case I lose one or forget to put it in my checked luggage and have to donate it to the TSA.

Pip says:
@armyofwhiskers @justjamey

I think I got the Krystal wooden nickel at the Krystal Square Off hamburger-eating championships. It's good for buy-one-get-one-free Krystal burger! Really not sure why it's still in my bag. Emergency?

The smooshed quarter is another thing that I didn't realize I still had in my bag until I unpacked it for this shot. It's from one of those machines that grinds your coin between two gears and smooshes a picture onto it. Like the old penny machines, only it's a quarter. It's the original '82 Epcot logo!

Jarrett says:
Firstly I love this photo. You have so much awesome stuff. Secondly, how do you like the Timbuk2 bag? I keep going back and forth whether to pick one up.
Posted: Jan 20th, 2010 - 11:20am -
Pip says:
@Jarrett I really like my Timbuk2. I've had it since October 2007, and it's held up really well. The corners have some scuffing, but no holes yet. I've got the laptop messenger, and the padding does a good job of keeping my computer safe. All of the crap in this photo fits in the front and inside pockets; my big camera and notebook are the only things from the photo that rest in the main compartment (i.e. LOTS more room for other stuff). Some of their newer styles are kinda goofy, but some a really great. Most of their bags are made in China now, but they still make a handful in SF (the website says which ones are which).

I mean this in the nicest possible way but you might be a little "high maintenance".

Fav'd for a very organized and unique shot.

@mattyc I think the fanny pack was complete appropriate and totally hilarious. I haven't known anyone who seriously rocked one in a while; I'm glad you old man is keeping it real.

Childress says:
I'm having spork envy. Mine doesn't fold in half.

You'd think that would be a joke but it's definitely not.

That's a lot of stuff, but if you carry most of it in the bag, you really travel pretty light. I think that's the best way to go.

@jnonfiction Yes, he may be engaged to a librarian, I don't know if that means much. I would never photograph what I carry on my person. My purse is a black hole of candy wrappers, pill bottles and Target receipts.
