Me and my girls are enjoying our Valentine's Day tradition of staying at ome and cooking something awesome.

Stuffed duck breast (Mark Bittman's "ducketta" recipe) is roasting in the oven. We're adding potatoes (cooking in all that yummy duck fat) and steamed broccoli to round the whole thing out.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your loved ones!

You dinner sounds awesome. You get the duck from Belmont, I trust? They usually carry that fantastic Hudson Valley stuff.

@mOtke that sounds awesome. We're working on a cheap Montepulciano with this meal. Wait, did you just wish me happy VD? Not sure how to take that. heh.

@ploafmaster on the nose. duck is resting now. Already tried the potatoes and they're rocking my socks off.

@mattyc it took a few fires of the remote to get Ella to look. I think the beeping camera caught her attention.

@wondermade If you have the means, I highly recommend it. So choice.

I also strongly suggest parboiling some cubed potatoes and throwing them in the pan after searing the duck, before it goes into the oven. I liked the potatoes even more than the duck.
