Finally getting back into my happy land.

You know, they're not nervous ticks. There's nothing nervous about them. They're more "the endlessly interesting textures and contours of a beard" ticks. I trace the outlines of my mustache/goatee region literally all day. Last week finding myself without these it was as if my hands didn't know where to go while reading, listening, thinking, and essentially everything else you'd care to name. Hell, rereading what I just wrote my hand found its way to my cheek by its own self. To have these places on my face back, ahh!, I again know how to go about my day.

Wait until the mustache twirling stage. That'll get to you.

I hope so! Mustache trimming has always been a part of my beard maintenance so it'll be interesting to see how having to pass on that goes. Given my normal reaction to hairs over my lips (especially in the winter with the stickiness of chap stick in play) this is not likely to end pleasantly.
