I have never come to understand why Denver even entertained the idea of making an airport out of a circus tent, but lo and behold, DIA.

I flew into that airport once with one of its architects sitting next to me on the plane. Interesting experience. Funniest story she told me: When they first built the place they incorrectly estimated the rain flow, so when it poured the rain routed from tent to tent and formed a wall of water at the taxi stand so that anyone wanting a taxi had to walk through it.
