Tasting spiked Budweiser beers to compare to a control Budweiser. To learn to identify off flavors. The off flavors were:
Butyric
Earthy
Indole
Caprylic
Papery
Bready
and last but certainly not least Infection

@Ned Kelly the slickness of the toungue is caused by a compound called diacetyl. It is produced primarilly by a lackluster or incomplete fermentation.

Off flavor classes can be interesting but I rarely found them fun.
