So, @tedford and I are moving in?? That'd be a BAD idea, I fear! hee hee - we'd get in WAAAAY too much trouble. Goodbye on here, but hello in the real world. Don't lose touch. I'll cut ya.
reflection. Ozzy, everytime I see your name I still think of that time you planted your head in the back yard. That cracks me up everytime. i gotta go find that shot again. I just read something you had told @Growershower about the innate bond made by simultaneous beard growing. Something in the DNA. There's gotta be something to that. Great to know you. You gotta heart made of solid gold. See you again soon for sure.
ahhh, the familiar kitchen. thanks again man for letting us stay there during the TD. Next time in Nashvegas I'll hit you up. I'd love to come by and check out your homebrew setup. You are amazing!
I would make this a big long goodbye about how I thought you were the leacherous / creepy old man of Whiskerino and that I grew to love your antics but you already know that.. AND we're having lunch next Thursday, so I don't wanna make it AWKWARD.
You are one of the kindest men on this thing that I've had the pleasure of meeting. You love the breasts and aren't afraid to speak of it. I learned a lot from that as weird as that sounds.
no sloppy goodbyes here. i expect we'll be seeing each other again soon. as a matter of fact, since you're embarking on this brewery adventure you'll likely never get rid of us.
pay good attention at brew school because i'm counting on you to pass on what you learn. i'm also always available to taste and comment on whatever might be brewing. you all take care of yourselves and we'll be seeing you. soon.
ozzy, i'm glad to have met you though all of this. you're a crazy, funny, honest and just straight up guy who can rock a pair of blue glasses like nobody's business.
You truly are kind and a stand up guy and I am better for having known you. Thank you so much for your kind words and support but also your humor and brevity. Please keep in touch and let me know if I can help you in your future endeavors in any way.
@davis
not moving, this is the rental occupied by team #birmingham for the TD. We had 3 potential renters look at it today. 2 more scheduled for tomorrrow.
nice job on the effort for your last photo, man. at least you could have taken off your shirt or got into a fight or something?
it was really great meeting you and your family. i hope you guys get a chance to come out to boise so i can repay your kindness and friendship.
take care, man, we'll stay in touch
YOu are a king too my frieind...and I'm really kinda jealous that i didn't get to roll in your crew at the thrwodown.. It kinda sucked that there were little subgroups but... really no one had a bad time with the people they hung out with in between events..and i'm sure we'll meet again...and you have made this experience a pleasurable one for me. ragging on people for not participating was always fun... I still gotta teach Jr how to unclog a toilet though...so i guess i have to make a trip up to nashveill again soonn
This photo says a lot. Or it's just an empty room. It was awesome meeting you and talking with you at the Throwdown. Thank you very much for never failing to comment me and making me laugh.
you are a whiskerino champion. one of these days i'm going to try my hand at the home brew and i'll be looking to you for guidance! take care and holler if you ever find yourself near OK!
07 and 09 wouldn't have been the same without your participation! your brew was KILLER at the throwdown!!!!! yummmmmy for my tummmmmy! see you around town. Best wishes for a great 2010 to you and the family.
Ozzy, glad to have shared this with you. Thanks for the beer lesson series (I know my beer, but I definitely learned stuff). You're awesome, man. I'll see you in May.
I'm glad to have met you and Pam. You're such nice people. Seriously, when you came up to me at the Friday gathering and started talking to me like we had been friends forever...that was just the best. Thanks for being so cool. Take care and I hope to see you again.
Ozzynelson, you are so awesome! When I think of whiskerino, a few people come to mind, and you are definitely one of them. You inspired me to join up in 2007 and your words, blogs and photos have inspired me as a person. It makes me really happy to know there are people like you in the world. See you around my friend
Glad you want to make fun of me, it would be an honor. But we all got to get together again for that to happen. We need to figure it out soon. Take care of the fam!
Ozzy, you are a legend and I am so glad to have meet you and shared this Whiskerino thing with you twice now. Thanks for always being supportive of my shots, even when you could have used more cleavage ;-)
Ozz-man, you were so cool to have hooked us up on the journey up to Nashville. Keep in touch, and try to make it this way sometime. We could all benefit from some of your kickin' fashion tips!
Ozzy, it has been awesome!!! It has been a delight coming on here and seeing all of your faces everyday.....it's going to be strange not having that! Take care and we will see you around soon!!!!
OK, that bubbling beer is officially scaring me now. Seriously, meeting you and your family and brewing together was one of the highlights of this whole experience for me. Definitely would like to keep in touch and brew more. I'll remember my refractometer next time, promise.
glad i could be heckled by the great ozzy, i feel like you awakened my true arrival to whiskerino. Thank you, and still sad that i couldn't throwdown with you
I feel like I haven't interacted with you so much this time around, but I still really appreciate all that you bring to Whiskerino. You're a good guy, Ozzy, and I'm really glad that I've gotten to know you.
Ozzy - it has been great getting to know you over the past few Whikerino's. This year it was particularly cool to get to know you better. You really helped in so many ways to make this a great Whiskerino.
As always, it was a pleasure to whiskerino along side of you. You and your family are the best and it shows by how you are willing to open your house and home to (somewhat) complete strangers. You are a good man and I hope to see you in Nashville soon.
i just ruined you closing out with 69 comments.
ozzy even though i messed up i am glad we still got that bond. ur a great fellow
and i just respect the heck out of ya for some reason
good luck with the brews
Ozzy, it was great to meet you and your wife (albeit briefly). You're a seriously cool guy, and you're definitely a big part of the fun of this thing. Nashville isn't far, and I'm sure I'll be up there again. I'll drop you a line when I am.
hit me up and let's meet-up sometime soon here in Nashville. big thanks to you and your wife for all you did for everyone who came to the Throwdown. it was much appreciated.
it was a pleasure getting to meet you in nashville. you and your beer are both pretty kick ass. thanks for all the work you guys put into the throwdown. take care.
It's been an honor and a pleasure growing with you in this final chapter. We didn't get to talk too much at the TD, but it was great meeting you and sampling your home brew. You're one of the guys who define these events and I saw first hand all the work you do to make them happen. Thanks for all of it.
See you in May for the moustaches!
Attn Little Oz - I was happy to get to talk some hockey with you while in Nashville. Keep your head up and hang in there. I am 36 years old, and I play hockey three times a week, coach it twice a week, and referee 2-5 games a week. But I didn't really learn to skate until I was 25 years old. I played them all, and Hockey is my favorite sport. It is the one sport you can play your whole life. The thing is, its more fun if you are good at it. You have an opportunity now to get good at it, and its a skill you will always have. Don't ever let a grumpy coach, or a bully, or a hard body check, make the game not fun for you. Just try your hardest, learn as much as you can, and have a great time. Even if you are not the best player on your team, don't forget how much better you are getting than the kids that don't play hockey. When you are 20 those kids will be getting into hockey, and know nothing, and you'll be skating circles around them.
Attn Big Oz - it was awesome getting to hang with you at the throwdown. You are as cool as I'd thought you'd be + a great accent to boot. Your beer was damn good too. This empty house above makes me think you are moving to Jamaica or something, it amplifies the fact that I won't be seeing a silly picture of you every day. Hopefully, you will be back in May, but either way, it's been great getting to know you. I hope to share a beer with you again sometime, but lets skip the chugging contest. take care
Attn Mrs. Oz - it was great meeting you at the TD as well. The pic you posted with Ozzy asleep showed perhaps the most dedicated family in the history of these sites, and was laugh out loud funny. Thanks so much for lending us Ozzy for these four months, it was a ton of fun.
Your hospitality still boggles my mind. I can't thank you enough for babysitting @JamesC and me at the Throwdown, and for being patient while I made the tough decisions. Your beer is delicious. Your home is beautiful. Your family is lovely.
thanks ozzy - for everything! the beer breakfast was the greatest and thanks to you, i am now a fan of oatmeal stout...which is really unheard of for me.
thanks for picking me up at the airport too. i just can't say thank you enough. you and the missus are great and you're always welcome here in DC!
Ozzy. The man, the myth, the legend. Thanks for the beer, the jabs, the amazing comments, the photos, the fantastic mackle poses, and the boob references. I hope we meet up again.
-Noel
Hunger wasn't the right word. It was more than that. A famished feeling. An insatiable void that had to be filled. A savage desire for subtracting the nebulous. He couldn't be stopped. First it was a pet. It wasn't his pet. Someone else's. Then, of course, he ate one of his own. He thought that maybe it was a dog, but he wasn't sure.
But it didn't stop.
He ate a neighbor, then a tree that was planted right outside his front door. Then he moved on to the furniture. He couldn't explain it. Neither could science. Science had failed him again.
I really enjoyed meeting you in person during the Throwdown. I also really enjoyed your beer. The coffee stout rocked my world. Your wife is awesome too. She worked her butt off for the Throwdown. Tell her thanks.
Thanks for growing a beard with me. See you around.
You stand head and shoulders above 99% of these cats simply because of your status as an amazing quality dude, and an incredible host. I'm so glad I got to spend some extra time with you last weekend and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Be advised: Next time I roll through Nashville I'm crashing at your place again.
ozzy, you are a character to say the least. you are also an awesome guy and really gave whiskerino personality and spirit. thank you for your humor, your hospitality, your kindness and for doing your part to make this what it is.
oh ozzy... you are one of my guilty pleasures here on whiskerino. one minute youre all about the boobs. next youre into ozzy osbourne. next thing i know, your wearing a cowboy hat and boots. only you could do all of this and put a smile on my face. you are one in a million dude. glad i got to beard with you here. im sure ill see you at the next facial hair event. later man.
I cannot believe that I did not get to you yesterday. I apologize. You are so deep in the core of what this website is, and I love what you bring to it. You've been amazing to get to know on here, and I was so glad to meet you and see that you are exactly what you say you are. A fun loving good hearted bad ass. I'm glad we met, and I hope to meet again. Thanks for being awesome.
You always made me feel like a luckier man by pointing out my wife's beauty and I thank you for that. You're a good dude and I'll always remember your tips for tasting beer. They've already served me well.
Thanks for the mammaries. You featured several in your shots and pointed out those I might have otherwise missed. Everybody needs that kind of wingman, and you were ours.
Ozzy, I'm going to comment again just because I want to. #birmingham fell in love with you: you represent everything that is good about this event. Hope to see you again soon.
