If like me you havent got around to buying a half decent camera you can hack your canon point and shoot in a non permanent non destructive way with CDHK.
It boots a program loaded onto the memory card and allows you to access features available on a dslr.

I occasionally use it to get the raw file before the cameras software converts and compresses it to a jpg. Then you can set up your own colour profiles and do the conversion yourself.

i just read an article today about the guy who invented the lensbaby. he did it because he didn't want to spend all the money for a tilt shift. i'm guessing he could probably afford a couple tilt shift now...
