It was the performance of a lifetime. Thousands of people were in their bed sleeping. Every note rose blissfully from his mouth, starting deep in his lungs and throat. The birds at the bird feeder watched, dreaming of the sky and tree branches and the seed in their bellies.

434 miles away, the bobcat sat on a train, alone, thinking about the cash he had just made by selling his rights to The Great Dance in the Sky Forever Cakes to the guy. He didn't even know the guy's name. The $127 that rested in his over the shoulder bag rested comfortably in a slot made for such an amount of monies.

The guy sang and wept, watching the sun as the sun watched him, both of them weeping in perfect harmony.

As he finished, he took a bow. No one applauded. He waved to the invisibles, who were begrudgingly in attendance. The put on their polite faces and smiled at him, even though he couldn't see them.

He crawled back in bed with a bowl of oatmeal, spilling it on his sheets.

i hope bobcat's train is heading east, or back west after heading east. or southeast after a ride north. or just straight to my house. i'd let him sleep in our guest bed and eat all our peanut better.

your caption was longer than two sentences and did not contain anything about robots or mittens or kittens...so that means I did not read it.

so i finally got around to watching the short...mostly b/c i forgot. and i'm trying to figure out what; @derble said. did he say something along the lines of "I dated a guy and then he left me for someone on whiskerino....so whiskerino has broken hearts"?

I always feel like I'm missing something at the end of your captions. but I guess I can get used to that for these great photos.

mOtke says:
@mattyc - I think @derble was quoting someone, but the edit made it look like maybe he was saying it about himself, but the way he ends it, it seemed to clear it up a bit.

@spdinsmoor That tends to happen on occasion. Usually when a bunch of beer and beards are involved. It was very cool to meet you.

"You have a beard," it said. "We love you."
