A revealing spur-of-the-moment photoshoot with my very new CouchSurfing friends Adrienne and Gabrielle re-enacting a scene from the Odyssey (Scylla, Charybdis, and an unfortunate sailor)

In what I believe will be the shot that gets used, I am frantically crawling away, belly-up with a [comically] terrified facial expression while these two young ladies are frozen in asymmetrical "pounce" positions on either side of me, roughly forming a circle.

While this would generally be far beyond my comfort zone, it was a really wonderful, adulthood and friendship-affirming experience. Especially considering I only met these two people the previous evening. Life surprises me often these days…
