Funny anecdote that is mostly unrelated and that I will probably butcher: A friend of mine (and @Paragone's) had the opportunity in college to partake in a lecture from some big wig producer whos name eludes me at the moment - he had done a ton of work with Led Zeppelin and is a highly respected British dude. Apparently he's also a total twat because my friend had the chance to ask him about some the techniques used to record "D'yer Maker" and made the mistake of pronouncing the song title incorrectly - which set the guy off into a raging tangent about how the song title was pronounced to sound like "Did You Make Her?"

The guy never answered his question and basically just embarrassed him in front of a huge group of his peers.

@mackle: Any anecdote that results in a "Bron-Yr-Aur" mention (my favorite Led Zeppelin track from their entire catalog, curiously enough…I know, I know…it just resonates w/me) is fine in my books.

Eddie Kramer can slob my tape deck.
