West Indian cuisine is the product of a whole range of culinary influences. The islands were originally inhabited by the Tainos and Caribs, and the settlers who succeeded them - Ashantis, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, Ibos, Indians, Irish, Spanish, Syrians and many, many more- all brought their own distinctive ingredients and customs.

mm curried goat! There was a great West Indian cafe place I used to go to in the London that served excellent curried goat and these kind of tasty chicken things that where just incredibly hot.
The West Indian cricket team are over here at the moment and unfortunately are getting pummeled, gone are the glory days.
