Theme - On Your Person

Each and every day I carry:
- Pilot Precise Pen
- "The Brown Book," in which I draw sketches, write quotes, and so on. We have become real friends when you have "made it into The Brown Book."
- Pucker Lip Balm from Bathos in Franklin, TN
- MacBook
- Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard
- Bluetooth Wireless Mouse
- Swiss Army Backpack

Not pictured, but always on me: iPhone, black leather wallet.

@leduncan Just add coffee! Yeah, it truly is my mobile office. And I usually keep my laptop with me even on the weekends. I have a fear of coming home and finding my laptop ripped off and then me being out of a job for a bit. So I keep it on my person.

mattyc says:
why the keyboard?
Posted: Jan 20th, 2010 - 8:26am -
Just Jamey says:
@mattyc A couple of reasons. It affords me flexibility that a stationary keyboard on my laptop does not. The keyboard is at an angle, so it is more comfortable to use (and my full-time job is writing, so anything to prolong the life of my wrists is welcomed). Finally, I once spilled beer on my laptop. My 4 key does not work, and my R key sticks sometimes. I worked for about 6 weeks with the keyboard in that condition, so it's doable, but a pain in the butt.

Oh, I also carry a cat around.

I wish I liked backpacks more.

Just Jamey says:
@wondermade I hear ya. I got used to the idea of a manpurse, and then a backpack. But considering that what you see in this photo IS my office and my full-time job, a backpack because a life-giving gift.
