Late night swim in a "brackish" pool in Kapoho, HI, which is located on the interior of a vacation property known as Shangri-La. The "pool" is really more of a pond, which is part fresh water and part salt water. Fed from the ocean through natural underground tubes and naturally heated by the lava, the water is about 90 degrees F. (Checked with an actual thermometer. Duh.)

yeah, i guess that's cool, if you're into natural hot tubs in paradise.

At what point do you think sea kayaking went from last-ditch survival effort to luxury leisure activity?

Just Jamey says:
Yeah, @jracecar and @mynameisjason, it does suck. Why else do you think we keep the kayaks around? We're plotting long-distance ocean trips BACK to Polynesia. Wait. I'm not from Polynesia. Okay, well, I'm going to take the kayak the OTHER direction. First chance we get for a break in the waves.

Just Jamey says:
@mrmaggie Nice! See, what I do sometimes is wait until 10pm, so I end up being one of the first ones to post. Then when I wake up in the morning, it's like Christmas with the comments.
