1. There is a red wall behind you. Plain and simple.
2. You are either wearing a fucking great hat or a bear is grabbing your head.
3. The card in your mouth matches the thing behind you.
4. You are wearing a shirt with the sleeves cut off.
5. You are drinking a classy beverage.
6. You're drinking that classy beverage out of a classy glass.
7. You're pip'ing.......not to be confused with pimping which you could also be doing.
8. And last be certainly not least, you are bearding.
So happy you got in a pip pose, doesn't it just feel good all over?? Well that's probably the wine- but yea I digress. Excellent pose sir, just excellent.
Best REDWALL so far. I won't forget you. Go for the yeard! As much as my heart will ache to trim my beard, I know I will. Job, family - both important and won't look too fondly on a yeard. I have a feeling I will do it at some point in my life. I have really grown deeply attached to my beard. It will be really really hard to trim it down. I honestly think I will cry, no joke. If you go for the yeard definitely keep me posted with some growth shots or just check in with me from time to time after this crazy and wonderful experience is over! Head down to Nashville we will get all the Nashville beards and have a beardup (whether we have beards or not) bill.pope@verizonwireless.com
Thanks for the kind words. When I decided to do Whiskerino I decided I'd do it all the way, work and family permitting. It was the right decision! Meeting you and so many others has been a real pleasure. Seeing the creativity each day has also been invigorating. Thanks for the great photos, comments, and attitude (NO!). It was great to grow with you this last Whiskerino!
(As for the Yeard, I've been giving it a lot of thought, and I don't think this is the right time for me. I realized over the last few days that growing the big beard was easy as part of this group, but I don't think it would be easy for me without the daily support. I guess that's what I'll need to find to grow the Yeard, a new purpose to grow. The beard will stay just in a more trimmed version.)
@mu, thank you, sir -- I won't forget you either. And I soooo want to go for the yeard, but I'm not sure how long that's going to last while searching for a new job, but hopefully it won't get in the way. I know what you mean about having an aching heart at the prospect of trimming your beard. I was looking in the mirror earlier, cutting my hair, and I thought about what it would feel like to trim my beard tomorrow. I couldn't imagine it.... that picture wouldn't even register in my mind. All I had was a picture of me slowly raising clippers toward my face, wincing the whole time with tear-filled eyes. So don't feel bad if you do cry when you trim yours -- I have no doubt I'd do the same.
If I do go for the yeard, I'll DEFINITELY keep you posted on its progress. Also, I would love nothing more than to come back to Nashville and get a mini bearded reunion going! I actually plan on going back there some time in the future... hopefully within the year.
And thanks for the contact info. If you don't have mine already, you can find it in the picture of me "crying" from last Monday (Feb 22).
If you ever make it to Atlanta, there's a seriously red wall in a part of town called Little Five Points. It was even featured in a McDonald's add. That last part isn't really a selling point, but it's there.
@caffeineaddict, I'm actually drinking my homemade wine which is bottled in a recycled Rodney Strong bottle. The variety of the homemade batch I'm drinking here is Montepulciano.
i did a half yeard and shaved down to a gloriously sized fu-manchu. the half yeard was rad. a yeard would be hard, especially if untrimmed. you really brought the thunder in this whiskerino. thank you for all of your thoughtfull commentary and rad shots. you will be missed but not forgotten.
