These tears are for YOU, gentlemen. The limited time I was able to spend with you the first night of the Throwdown will be held close to my heart for years to come. I am filled with joy that I was actually able to meet and talk with a lot of you, but I'm bummed that I wasn't able to spend more time doing so, and I'm even more saddened that there were guys I didn't even get the chance to talk with. As Whiskerino crawls to a close, the prospect of never seeing or hearing from any of you again weighs heavy on my heart. Let's not let that happen -- let's stay in touch. For any of you who'd like to do so, I can be reached at espo83 [at] yahoo [dot] com.

You are all loved and missed.

I'm pissed we didn't do a Dueling DeNiro's shot!

If I ever come to Chi-town, or you're back this way we definitely need to hang.

Great photo by the way.

It was fortuitous that you were on the steps of the Marathon when I arrived. Great to meet you. Wish we could have talked more.
Another time I'm sure.

Dude, we still have like 7 more days. The goodbye picture isn't until Sunday. How about enjoying the time we have left? Of course, maybe there's no point after going from an awesome throwdown back to the intnernet?
Posted: Feb 22nd, 2010 - 2:16pm -
Johnny Rebellious says:
@aaronb, I know that -- this really isn't a goodbye pic... it's a picture that shows my sadness, and I'm trying to get some contact info sooner than later. My goodbye picture will most likely be chipper and smiley, or perhaps something different... but it won't be tear-filled. I'm enjoying the time left -- trust me.

Stop crying man. There's people watching. Geez. I live in Norfolk, Va right now about an hour north of the Northern Most Outer Banks of NC. Where does your sister live? I'll drive to anywhere in the fine state of North Carolina. We'll catch up.

@miguelito, I totally forgot we were going to do that -- damn. It would have made a great picture, or video, or simply just a great memory.

Johnny Rebellious says:
@thatguy, my sister lives in Greenville, NC -- so it's not a tremendous drive from where you are. I'm not exactly sure the next time I'm gonna be out there though. Hopefully sooner than later.... I have a 2 year-old niece that I haven't even met yet.

Johnny Rebellious says:
@beardgoggles, I agree! So great to finally meet you, and you were seriously one of the nicest guys that I met there -- not that anyone wasn't nice, but you know what I mean. It was a pleasure to finally shake your hand.

Johnny Rebellious says:
@fofe, I'm super glad I was able to talk and meet with you for that little time we did (just wish it could have been for more) -- you've been one of my favorite guys these past 4 months.

Johnny Rebellious says:
@mackle, I'm not sweating it as much as this picture would make it seem that I am (those are just eye drops) -- but I DO have a great sadness there, mostly because I know this is the last chapter, and this whole thing has actually strengthened me as a person (as weird as that may sound). If I'm ever in Nashville again (which I know I will be), I'll definitely try to track you and all the other Nashvillians down.

ThatGuy says:
Greenville's a little bit of a hike, but easily worth it. Let me know if you decide to go scare the neice of yours with the beard.

Aw shucks. I don't think a dude's ever faked a crying picture with eye drops for me before. Very sweet. Haha!

I'm glad you made the trip. You're a hell of a guy, and should start planning a Chicago beardo reunion.
