Ok, now this is important, so important that for the first time in 84 days and 61 photos, I need to look you in the eyes.
To put it simply, it is over. jgoforth does not whiskerino. jgoforth does not Grow and Show. jgoforth can not teach damnweather a thing or two. I have brought shame to myself and my household.
This is my third whiskerino, and I was sadly not able to finish the final chapter. There have been plenty of reasons for me to quit: my wife doesn't like it, unfair perception of sloppiness at work, not being able to participate fully, many of the people that I followed and enjoyed have left, and still not being able to go to the throwdown; but none of those reasons were good enough. In the end, it finally came down to a theatre audition. I had an audition for a character that is young, innocent, shy, weak, and cowardly. I had never met the director before and I felt there was no way for him to see me as fitting that kind of a role while I still had a beard on my face. I have made it through 3 or 4 shows during whiskerinos and kept the beard, but the theatre requires all types and a sacrifice had to be made.
It saddens me greatly to leave, but I had to do it.
