I have to agree with @michaeljstraub, this is clearly Jimmy Walker.

I've read Tipping Point and Blink, but couldn't bring myself to read Outliers.
I got tired of the
conclusion
writing, which it seems is all he does.

I believe I do know who you're talking about. And he just commented. He didn't get it.

I'm glad someone cleared that up.

Very clever indeed.

Ahhh. @dschonn never disappoints with his superior intellect.

Jarrett says:
@Dschonn - Good job, sir! I was hoping someone would get it.

@shularbrau - Yeah, he does tend to do that. Outliers was good, though. Could be my favorite of his.

@jnonfiction - look again...

Oh, crap!! I'm so sorry, @Jarrett, I didn't get it!

This is, it goes without saying, completely awesome.

Amazing! Best sort of tribute.

Also I like Gladwell well enough. People should never believe everything they believe, but I think he does a solid job at re-contextualizing ordinary facts to help people draw the conclusions they should draw on their own from other elements of life. That's no small gift.

This is a great tribute and it is funny that @jnon missed by a hair before the made genius @Dschonn swept in. Great job.

nice picture, i guess, but my one question is. .... where the hell is your beard?

Jarrett says:
@jnonfiction - haha that's ok...just wanted to do a subtle tribute to one of the nicest and most inspiring people I've met on here so far.

@wondermade - well said. I've read all his books (and have his latest, What The Dog Saw, sitting on my 'to be read' pile) and while I don't always agree with all his theories, he never fails to make me think about things differently, which is really all he wants to do.
