I've been extra nice to Artie today. Extra treats and an extra long walk even though it was freezing. He even got a ride in the car.

HiImTerry says:
My wife had a Golden Retriever named Bailey when I met her. We had been married 5 years when I backed over him in the driveway. It is the worst thing I have ever done. About a year later our Golden, Hannah, that we had gotten when we were dating ran out into the road and was hit by a car.

I'm sad whenever I hear of the death of a beloved companion.

Aww, man. Rough stuff.
Losing my dog bummed me out more than just about anything. Ever.

This photo pretty much sums that up, though in a beautiful way.

Dogs can often be purer in their hearts than we are, that's why petting my dopey bassett hound right is like a cool drink of water to me.

No condolences needed but you're getting them anyway.. I am sorry to hear for your loss. The most traumatic memories of my life almost all involve pets. I can cope with the death of a family member but losing a pet has always hit me hard.. I hope you are dealing with it alright.

Meeting you was totally awesome btw.. just in case you didn't figure that out.

Dschonn says:
My dog is ancient and rickety and sleeps a lot, and his front legs don't work as well as they used to. But he can still bark and get underfoot like he did when he was a puppy. He can make a nuisance of himself and remind us why we named him Rascal. I love him dearly and I miss him intensely.

I'm going to force some condolences on you. I am sorry for your loss and my thoughts go out to you. Be well.
