It's very easy to take something apart, if you don't care if it goes back together.

There was a lot of extraneous crap between me and this 8mm projector gate.

I once took my video camera apart for whatever reason. When I put it back together I had 4 extra screws.

Taking things apart is awesome. Putting them back together is also awesome. Realizing that your stuff no longer works because half the stuff that was supposed to be inside it are now on the outside, however, is not.
