father/son year 15.

This clamebute is partly an homage to 9schwander--who's series this Whiskerino has been one of my very favorites--and partly a warning.

I remember being unemployed for a stretch when my oldest son was the age of @9schwander's, and I too was in my early 20's (actually, I was 20). I spent every day just hanging out with Waylon, much like the life @9schwander has portrayed in his pics. It was an amazing transition period in my life, I learned to be a father, he, well, learned to walk, and other stuff like that. My warning is, what so many told me at the time, and I didn't believe it: IT ALL GOES SOOOO FAST. Its completely ridiculous actually. You blink and 5, 7, 10 years go by. It sounds totally cliche to even type it, but its true: cherish these times, and EVERY time you to spend with your kids on their level! Every age has its benefits, but as each period begins, another one ends.

As you can see, reading Dr. Seuss on your lap... not an activity that works at age 15.

As a father of two (my oldest turned 6 yesterday), I know exactly what you mean. But I don't really.

I look at @9schwander's series and I miss those days when they were little baby girls.

But then I think Mark is doing is really great-- documenting these precious days with his adorable little boy. What he will have when he's done will last forever.

Enough sappiness from me. Fantastic 'bute. Fave.

Very nice. And I hear you with the warning. My son is 2 and a half and I'm a stay-at-home dad with him. I love it but I cannot believe how fast the days and weeks go by even when I am with him practically all day every day. I can only imagine how fast it must seem to his grandparents who see him less frequently. Anyway, I'm trying to soak it all in. Great tribute and sentiment!

I was going to do this with my 12 year old. He just isn't into the 'rino like he has been in the past.
I have had 2 15 year old girls (now 21 and 22) and I know how much a challenge 15 - 20 is. God bless you sir.

I did not, in fact, see this until just now. I saw a couple of the comments on my dashboard, but didn't see this shot at all.

Just wanted to say thanks for a (very well done) clamebute and for a very moving message. I retro-king you in my heart.

I'm sorry it took me 4 days to find this, and stoked that I finally did. Waylon is a great name. My friend wanted to name his son Waylon, but...

Wife said no. And...
just to make sure she got her way, She had a girl.

Women.
