A few years from now, I'm sure the day will come when my future son or daughter will ask for hot chocolate in the mug with the dog on it.
I'll pull the mug out of the cupboard, set it on the counter, and start getting the milk. Perhaps they'll ask where it came from, and I'll say Nashville.
Being the smart kid they are, the next question is what brought you to Nashville? So we'll go over to the holo-projector (or whatever it is we'll have to show web pages) and I'll see if this site is still up and running.
While it remains to be seen if the remnants of Whiskerino 2009 are the first time they see me with a beard, it's comforting to know that they'll at least have the opportunity to glance into such a complete representation of my past.
Thanks to all who commented and encouraged me through the past four months, and a special thanks to @zooky for not only being my 'smart tripod' but for telling me about this awesome experience in the first place.
And @mackle - I'm glad I could catch the last train of this almost decade-long ride. You are truly a beard among five o'clock shadows.
Cheers,
Chris
