Top Pot Doughnuts, Seattle

This is the mothership of Top Pot Doughnuts in Seattle, where the walls are lined with used encyclopedias from years past. From World Book 1959:

"BEARD, is the growth of hair on the face, especially on the chin and cheeks. Formerly, people considered the mustache as a part of the beard. In ancient times, they regarded a beard as a mark of full manhood. Women unfortunate enough to grow beards were regarded as witches."

The encyclopedia is wrong! The moustache is STILL part of the beard! I don't care what team #lincoln says.

@HiImTerry, I thought that passage might add fuel to the fire. Lots of things change over the years, but I agree the moustache is part of the beard. I'll have to check out some of the other editions to be sure.
