@wondermade-- I took 27 pics so I was out there for maybe 10-15 minutes. I had a small window to avoid the rain.

@elldub-- I was kidding about the $60. People mostly laughed at me. However, there is such a large homeless population in Portland that standing on a freeway entrance with a sign asking for money is practically a viable profession here. One of our weekly newspapers once did an article on side-of-the-road panhandlers and found that some of them are making up to $30,000 a year doing this.
