LIFTOFF!

Last night launch ever. Totally worth getting up at 0230 to watch it, too. Thanks to HDNet for the 1080p feed of awesome.

@karl @revgoomba It's more of a low rumble. The Pshhhhhhh is good for the water suppression system, though. [That's why there's what looks like a lot of steam coming out under the Shuttle when it first lights off---they use water to deaden the sound waves so they don't vibrate the launch pad apart. I know a guy who helped design that system.]
