So I had the idea tonight---yes, I'm still up---to photograph the Shuttle just as it launched. This launch opportunity is one that many of my colleagues are attending. W'rino 2007 returnees will remember that I had a chance to go see a flight; still haven't seen one, even though I've tried to go with both @wondermade and @pip.

Tonight's launch was scrubbed due to weather. Glad I was watching in my living room and not from Banana Creek.

In the thumb, I thought you were on a train or subway or something, and that was the window looking out. It took me minute to figure out when I opened the page. Sorry you still haven't been able to catch a launch.

Man. You'd think working for the Space Program would afford you a chance to see a Shuttle launch.

I've seen a launch. If you want I can describe it to you. I do some great hand gestures. But really I hope you get to see one.

Oh, I phrased that wrong. I've actually seen a launch---I saw STS-81 launch back in the day. Just not from the VIP area.

@jnonfiction This launch opportunity is special for folks from my company. We have a busload full of folks going to Banana Creek to watch up close.
