I like this so very, very much. Which Castle is this? I can never find a convenient one off the interstate in Nashville, so I wait until the one in Clarksville, every single time I'm driving through there.

Fancy McFancy Pants. A man of mystery and intrigue. Fancy would travel the globe to find the freshest meals and serve them up hot and fresh to those willing to eat of his bounty. Sadly, in an act of desperation, he found a place that didn't serve fresh meals. He was pretty sure that this wasn't food at all, but merely substance created to soak up alcohol after a night of binge drinking. He was willing to serve regardless.

I'm sorry that I didn't get to talk with you at the Throwndown (I've heard from multiple sources what a nice and funny guy you are) but hopefully we can fix that at a local get-together. Be ready to be funny. I'll be judging.

You have had some of my favorite shots of the whole thing, and your treadmill king is legendary, not to mention the follow up being hilarious as well.

Ula O cealleigh says:
Haha this is fantastic!! lol. we are here to serve eachother tho buddy!!!
loving this shot as much as i love all of your photos. You are a clever, quick witted, talented and positive guy with a great beard!

& in response to your question about how i came to be here...
wow.. here goes. from the start??

I think all of us like facial hair & stubbe & aspire to wear great beards or stubble so i have always admired it on guys... But that has always been "just a thing" in the background of being a guy... Im certain that i have always worn facial hair of some kind because i dont like shaving.. but as i grew & developed as a man.. I grew to like it more & more.

I think that my last serious girlfriend must have had an impact subconsciously on me because i met her & dated her for 2 years (that was 4 years or more? ago) and she had split up with & divorced her husband because they had grown apart... just before i met her she had met this "dude" from Amsterdam who worked in film production "jeff" funnily enough. and he was this "ladys man surf instructor" you know the type? anyways she really liked him & became friends with his sister & their friends too.. and a group of friends was made with her & her sister in amsterdam.. anyways this "dude" contributed the final finish to her marriage i think... and all along while i was dating her the 2 years.. she & her sister would go to amsterdam a few times a year... this jeff dude had dreads & a beard... and they were just mates but i think she always really liked him...
I think this made a subconscious imprint on me and a determination (added to my already existing love of facial hair & beards) To be as bearded as possible and then it became more & more prominent.. but i already really liked beards and good solid beards.. especial on younger men as we dont see as many under 40yr olds with full beards..

Anyways after we split up about 4 years ago... i dont know how or why but i just seemed to gravitate towards beards & especialy just general online stuff like reading about beards and appreciating them. & liking them.

So i started to become a beard expert... and save the rest of the story - found whiskerino 05' archives.. which had me hooked from the instant the page opened & i saw the layout, design, colours, presentation, idea, vibe and more importantly the photos!! being a traditionalist i had instant affinity with @cdubs robinson crusoe photos, elldubs top hat and monocle photo, all the others and of course @Mackle beard !! which pretty much made me appreciate the beauty that a man can bloom forth in his own right and that beards could be, or were spectacular!!! As soon as the '07 whiskerino was opened i was eager to participate... it was through that experience i found out about @davidbean and his (as well as others) awesome photography.. i had somewhat overlooked davids photos in '05 simply because i was not as drawn to the contemporary beard photos as much as the traditional. but i soon found out that beneath the gems of photographic talent was depths of art, and that latched onto my other interests (which had been previous paths of mine) philosophy, religeon, art history, humour all these things through whiskerino are mixed into awesome sauce and shared around this fantastic community. It enables us to focus our loves and likes, nostalgia and feelings into art, photography and bring it out in our beards. Whiskerino is a community, a competition, a school, a church, a life experience and a pleasure.

ok i just sat & typed that so its just off the top of my head.. i could/should really have word processed and organized it better but thats the brief in long format lol.

Mackle shows guys how awesome beards are if they can take the time to grow them, care for them, clean them & present them as they are meant to be - right here on our faces. :) any good? ;)
