i have appreciation for all types of scotch, but I certainly have to say most of my favorites are speysides. glenfiddich, glenfarclas, glenlivet, and not least, macallan. If I have an occasion to find a good islay, I'll take it as well for a bit of a change. I've found a few laphroaigs I really liked. a nice northern highland like glenmorangie is another all-time favorite. dalwhinnie of the central highlands is another great favorite. but, my family, being borders lallanders, I find I appreciate lowland scotch if for no other reason than heritage. glenkinchie's nae bad.
