My daughter's school was cancelled today due to the blizzard.

I thought you all might want to see what a severe winter storm looks like down here in Georgia. This is it.

I don't like the photos of you as much that don't show your crazy beard from the full-frontal angle.

Awwww, now that's not fair. The forecast calls for sleet/snow starting this afternoon. Even now it is cloudier than when I arrived at work. It almost never snows down here, so, we don’t have ice abatement or snow removal equipment available. We also don’t use snow tires. When the roads get snowy and icy it is only reasonable to keep as many cars and busses off of the roads as possible. Don't go and feed the anti-southerner fires!

@shularbrau Thank you for that. You don't know how many times I've heard "I don't like the photos of you as much that show your face."

@HilmTerry Valid points, and I'd be more giving if the forecast actually called for something more than a 50% chance of a dusting. Maybe we'll get dumped on tonight and the caution will have been warranted. But I really did get a phone call from a customer of mine who was in a panic over the "winter storm warning". Actual quote with real panic. I just don't understand.

Remember 1993? Now that was a blizzard

HiImTerry says:
Ok, I concede. I guess that’s why Kurt Melish was trying so hard to downplay the possibility of real accumulation. Tomorrow morning is probably the time for caution, not so much today. I’ll be honest, I’m wishing for a good old fashioned white out. I haven’t seen one in almost 20 years.

@michaeljstraub, I was in Saudi Arabia for that one! I was so mad!

Actually you and the rest of your town owes me a couple of thousand dollars (or some tacos) for the overnight plowing and shoveling. Me and my boys worked real hard to clear that blizzard before anyone woke up. You're welcome.

But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and His Beard is the sun.
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief,
That thou, thy beard, art far more fair than me.
Be not her maid, since she is envious;
Her vestal livery is but sick and green
And none but fools do wear it; cast it off.
It is Your beard, O, it is awesome!
O, that you knew it were!
It speaks yet it says nothing; what of that?
His Beard discourses; I will answer it.
I am too bold, 'tis not to me it speaks.
Two of the hairiest goats in all the heaven,
Having some business, do entreat his beard
To fill out his cheeks till they return.
What if his beard weren't there, o'er on his face?
The brightness of his cheek would blind thine eyes,
As a shade doth a window; his beard doth his face
Would through the hairy region stream so full
That birds would sing and think it were a nest.
See, how he leans his beard upon his hand!
O, that I were a glove upon that hand,
That I might touch that beard!

I hear that the invisible snow is the worst kind, sort of like black ice on the pavement, you can't really see it. No wonder the canceled school.
