"November Rays"

I had the worst 3 months of my entire life this past August thru October. August was bad, September got worse and October capped it off in a big way.

I won't go into it all, but work dried up, I got severely ill, depression set in (which is something I'm not used to much at all), I had some personal issues and I just felt like giving up at times.

There were moments when I had migraine headaches soooo bad that I wanted to die rather than live with 24/7 nail-pounding headaches.

Well, November is here and it's been a nice turnaround. The air even tastes better.

Work is back to normal, I have my health back, things are looking up all around. (turns out the naseau, vomitting, migraines were all a result of being over-medicated for a simple ear-ache. I loathe doctors and their drug cartel medicines.)

A good friend of mine has gone thru some rough life situations and he summed it up pretty good when he said:

"When God drives you around in his car, he likes to take the "scenic route", he'll drive you through something that may look like hell till you've seen enough. I know now why I had go go there and see the things I saw. Thanks for the lessons and hell of a ride. Glad ya had a full tank to get me back again."

So here's to November and it's sunny rays. And if life has kicked you in the teeth, email/call/text me, I'd love to talk to you and tell you it's gonna be alright!

Just Jamey says:
“We die into life,” writes Eric Wilson in Against Happiness. “The greatest tragedy is to live without tragedy. To hug happiness is to hate life. To love peace is to loathe the self. The blues are clues to the sublime. The embrace of gloom stokes the heart.”

Glad your November is better. I hope the last three months are the dark colors that accent the bright in the portrait of your life.

I'm glad things turned around. I didn't know things had gotten so bad, though. I say this all the time, and there are more convincing places to say it, but we don't keep in good enough contact. I really want to be closer to you, Sam, Addy and Zeph.

We decided yesterday to come into town next weekend. We should all hang out. We'll bring our bowling balls. Throw some family stones. Whatch think?
