After a long and painful battle with bladder cancer, Lana's father, Coy Green, passed away this morning at 9AM.

He always treated me as one of his own. I'll miss him greatly.

Corey says:
[ clame ] was taken on one of his last trips out of the house. I'm humbled that he shared it with me.

Sorry to hear that.

Coy is an unusual name - I like unusual names. Was it short for something?

Corey says:
Thanks for the sentiments, guys. @rodohmes - Nope, not short for anything. It is, however, his middle name. James Coy Green.

I feel like we're in a season of loss... I think you get to that age when our loved ones start to pass on more frequently and suddenly.

I hope for some comfort and peace comes with his passing, especially since his suffering is over; so sorry Corey .

ThatGuy says:
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad that you and your wife were able to go and be with him. I hope his passing was as peaceful and painfree as possible, and that you and the rest of the family will celebrate his life in the coming days instead of dwelling on his death.

Thanks for the clame. I can't tell you how many times I've been in that same scenario with one of my uncles or older cousins. They're all good times and seem more important as time passes by.

shularbrau says:

Are you coming to the throwdown? If so, PLEASE bring as much homebrew as you can spare! Mackle has announced that on Friday night we are going to have an official homebrew tasting for everybody. If you keg, please bring an entire keg (or three)! If you bottle, bring as many as you can spare. We're going to try to round up enough homebrew to serve ONLY HOMEBREW for the Friday night event. My email is dshular at h0t mail d0t c0m. Shoot me an email and I'll start an email list of all us homebrewers so we can see how much beer we can descend upon Nashville.
