Ooo, a brownie... I just picked one up. What do you use for film?
Posted: Nov 20th, 2009 - 1:58pm -
chadmcclarnon says:
@eightface That particular brownie takes 620, but it's in such bad shape it would take a lot of work to get it going again. If your brownie takes 620 film, CLAME for how to respool 120 on there

Think I have a fairly similar model, have actually looked at that tutorial before but haven't attempted it before. Mine has a decent amount of rust in it, not sure if it's worth trying to get working. It's a pretty box, maybe I could use it to store valuables in :D

chadmcclarnon says:
@eightface it's not really hard to respool it, just takes some practice...be careful though...it can be a pricey hobby to get into

curious: what's your camera of choice these days?
Posted: Nov 20th, 2009 - 3:39pm -
chadmcclarnon says:
@taylor I use a Nikon D200 for my professional stuff. Trying to hold out for the new D700 to upgrade. For film, I still love my Minolta X-700.

i have the X-700 too, and it's good. i prefer my XE-7, but for no glaring reason. if you're looking for additional Minolta lenses, let me know, as i have a fair amount that aren't getting any use.

aslo, i have an unopened pack of Kodak instant film (expired 1985) that should fit that Pleaser (i think it's a Pleaser) or the Champ.

sweet photo too.
