I have put off the purchase of a good burr grinder for years.
YEARS.

It's absurd that I still use my little blade grinder.

Corey says:
We have a burr and a blade grinder and I'm not savvy enough to taste the difference between the two... and the blade grinder is less mess, so I use it more.

I do love coffee, though.... which @boutte will tell you has not always been the case.

Also- I don't think your coffee pot has enough capacity. There, I said it.

@shularbrau - when I was outfitting my kitchen last year after watching too much "Good Eats", I did a lot of research, including grinders. I finally "invested" the $50 for this Cuisinart and it's worth every penny. A glass receptacle would be better, but otherwise I love it!

@Corey - true, 4-cup is small but it's just me and two cups is my limit anyway.

I've still got a blade grinder. Figured the blade and burr were the same. Now I need to look into burr so I can be cool too.

Fresh ground is the way to go! In fact, it's the only way I go. Yum.

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but occasionally I'll be at someone's house with a quality setup and great coffee, and just for those few minutes...I understand people's love of coffee. I don't know why I thought you needed to know that.

Yogi Beard says:
I've been told a symptom of caffeine overdose is constant buzzing in the ears or sensitivity to sound. My ears are in a constant state of buzzing. I don't care, I love coffee and tea way too much.
