My son asked me to sing him a song in bed tonight. I made one up and the main character ended up named Byron Nash.
Here's the story:
There was a kid who was faster than everyone else on on Earth named Byron Nash (I needed to rhyme with "dash"). He was mean and taunted everyone about how slow they were. One day another planted crashed into ours and everyone was faster than Byron Nash. He was really sad to be only medium fast, though the rest of the world was happy he stopped taunting them.
Then came the day when the new planet was going to leave and Bryon Nash was so excited because it meant he'd be fastest again. So he started taunting people and running and decided to celebrate with a loop around both planets. But he wasn't very good with time and ended up on the other planet. He'd gone from fastest, to medium to the very slowest person.
He was so distraught both planets took pity on him and rejoined so that he could go home. First thing he said was "I'm sorry" because he finally understood how mean he'd been, and that there was more to life than being fast.

It was a lengthy song and there's a distinct possibility that my son will ask for the Byron Nash story again tomorrow, which would be funny.
