Today on my person (oddly enough): Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft. For real and for true-- not a jnon cutout.

I hope this will give anyone considering shaving for a job interview a little support.

Whoa, crazy! Did he yell and get you all hyped up?

@mackle My company developed some applications for the 2009 CMA Fest that went over really well. They were written in Silverlight and used Azure. Microsoft is betting a great deal on both of these technologies. Ballmer was in town today for a "developer, developer, developer" conference and afterwards he set up a gathering where he thanked us. Pretty strange day.

On the "corporate beard" front, I saw more beards in the developer crowds today than at previous such events.

@MacroBlack So here's the story: if you carry a windows mobile phone in your pocket and rub the face grease from the screen three times while saying "this is way better than an iPhone" Steve Ballmer will appear and grant you three wishes. Despite the millions of windows mobile devices and the nearly continuous screen rubbing this "summoning" has only occurred once (ever) and well... I was being sarcastic when I said the magic words. It was awkward at first, but we got along fine after I wished for two beers and infinite wishes.

Too cool. I saw he was speaking and would liked to have gone, but it was sold out by the time I'd heard.

Also: king'd.

@BryanHunter I haven't been let go yet, and I'm looking positively hobo right now with the neckbeard. MS can be pretty pro-beard....

Also glad to hear you're working with Silverlight. If your projects have a public page somewhere I'd like to learn more about them!

Very cool! It's always fun to rub shoulders with the icons of one's profession. I once had dinner with Linus Pauling (2 time Nobel Prize Winner Chemistry for protein structure, and Peace). It was great to talk to him directly about biology and biochemistry.

@grownunknown Wow, that's an awesome hobo beard you've got going! Microsoft FTE? The Silverlight apps were from last summer's CMA Fest. CLAME for a treasure hunt game.
