i'm a church planter. my office is in my home but it is under construction so you get to see me out in the field.

@jononfiction, I'm guessing it says something like "not through works of grace/charity, but through faith". The other arm has something on it, too, only visible so far in the photo he had to take down on the 6th (though there's a clame to it on his final submission for that day). I think it says ποίημα, from which we get the word poem, but in Greek also had the more general sense of something made or done.
As to why you haven't seen it before, I couldn't say.
