For those of you under the impression that I am just some hippy from Cally, think again. My family is from Texas. Here I am feeding the cattle with my Grandpa on his thousand acre ranch in Shamrock, Texas.

I didn't realize "feeding the cattle" was Texan for "standing around in amazing light."

You aren't on #vegan, so the hippy thing never even occurred to me. I always just thought you were some dude who takes consistently incredible pictures.

Barefoot says:
@matwiseman I totally thought that was just some expression that NZ people say.

@Ploaf yeah Texans have a crazy language thing i don't know...

@yogibeard Thank you. I have tried vegan but I don't like beans and that is like a vegan staple.

I never thought of you as a hippy. I thought of you as a wizard of beautiful camera magic and a man that was always in the right spot at the right time at every moment of the day.

Shamrock is a rad town, but I'm suspicious that it's just named that for marketing purposes.

Not that being a hippie is "bad" - you're obviously quite talented

Grandpa pic ftw, hope you're enjoying Texas visitations, don't get too used to hardwork though, your Cali attitude is prime fuel for brilliant photos. :D

Nice! My family are deep-rooted Texans. My dad jokes that he wished he would have put some Texas dirt beneath the bed I was born on (in New Mexico) so I could be born on Texas soil or something.

He's a bit of a redneck who rambles sometimes...

Hippy Schmippy. I don't care. This shot is awesome. I love the fact that your grandpa is completely ignoring the fact that there is a picture being taken. He's there to feed the cattle, and that's what he's going to do.

This is great. I'm latefaving this because your grandpa is awesome.
