Thank you snow leopard for letting me know 41 times that the application 'Finder' could not be opened.

I know most of you on here are MAC lovers, but sometimes even the best operating system in the world fails you.

I need a break.

Good God, man. Your dock has so many items!

Have you ever tried QuickSilver? It's the best discovery I've made for my mac. I love it.

DogCowHair says:
command-space, type the first few letters of the app, hit return. I never really got around to changing my workflow w/ quicksilver. :-/ But many people swear by it.

I love Snow Leopard.

I know that doesn't help your situation ... but I had to say it. :)

Barefoot says:
@DogCowhair haha ya I love command space. I pretty much swear by it too. Clame for screen 5 seconds after this.

@Gavin I feed it speed sometimes to help my workflow...I just put speed into brownies and stuff it inside the DVD/CD drive.

Barefoot says:
just realized that clame might not work...hope it does.

@Gavin j/k that would be weird if I did that.

And this is why I am glad my new referbished laptop did not come preinstalled with snow leapord but came with a disc

mattyc says:
this is also why I advised my boss that we wait till next year to upgrade our edit suits to snow leopard and the newest FCS package
Posted: Dec 16th, 2009 - 2:00pm -
Barefoot says:
lets see if this clame works.

@mattyc ya I am stupid sometimes, like the day I decided that when the guys downstairs bought snow leopard I would install it on my machine.
Posted: Dec 16th, 2009 - 2:03pm -
Barefoot says:
@mattyc although I will say, the new FCS has some major glitches, motion has some major improvements and final cut does as well.
Posted: Dec 16th, 2009 - 2:05pm -
mattyc says:
@barrefoot motion NEEDS some major imporements. I avoid it 90% of the time when possible and use AE instead. Motion has loved crashing and not rendering things properly via final cut since version 1.

mattyc says:
BTW that clame is horrifying. did you get the issue resolved yet?
Posted: Dec 16th, 2009 - 2:22pm -
DogCowHair says:
@barefoot, both clames worked.

People make fun of me all the time for my expansive dock as well. We can't help it if we're super productive and need tons of apps at our fingertips! Quicksilver shmicksilver.

Barefoot says:
@childress I know right! I have to see them all there. Why would I want to click the finder then applications then search for one, when I can just know where it is? It is even faster than the command space. Also, @ace and @barcode my desktop is completely clean, if it wasn't clouded by these stupid error windows you guys would be able to see that. Ace you know.
